1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files or identifiers stored by a site or its providers to remember information and enable features.
2. Cookies used
FanRank keeps its own aggregate measurement without tracking cookies. It also uses Google Tag Manager to manage tags and Google Analytics 4 as optional statistical measurement. Analytics storage remains denied by default; the container, analytics cookies and full measurement are activated only when you accept. We do not use Google Analytics for personalised advertising.
- Temporary X OAuth-flow cookies lasting no more than 10 minutes.
- X connection cookie lasting no more than 30 days.
- Technical, security and admin authentication cookies.
- Local storage fanrank-referral-v1 keeps the referring handle from the last valid personal link for 30 days to attribute a possible purchase.
- Google Analytics statistical cookies _ga and _ga_<identifier> may remain for up to two years unless deleted earlier or configuration changes.
- Local storage fanrank-analytics-consent-v1 remembers whether you accepted or rejected Analytics.
- Stripe may use its own technology on its external checkout page under its own policy.
3. Consent
Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent because they enable a requested function or keep the service secure. Google Tag Manager and full Google Analytics measurement remain disabled by default and are activated only when you select ‘Accept analytics’. You may reject them without losing access to the ranking or Fan Points purchases.
4. Changing or withdrawing consent
You can reopen the panel through the ‘Cookie settings’ button at the bottom of the site and change your choice. If you withdraw consent, FanRank sends the denied state to Google, removes accessible analytics cookies from the domain and stops sending new Analytics events. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking technical cookies may stop some features, particularly X connection, from working.
